Sourdough experience - our first In-person Workshop

With our first In-person class behind us, we are ready for more sourdough adventures.

The beginning

Some of you may know that we started our Sourdough project, teaching online.

Our classes were entirely online, done through Skype, live and very interactive.

We have started it in the first lockdown in May 2020.

It was a spare of a moment decision. We wanted to get together with our friends and have a good laugh.

As this was impossible to happen in person, we decided to organise a crash sourdough class for those of them who were interested to learn a new skill and using the time being stuck at home doing something practical and fun. The only option was through the screens of our computers. 

Over a year and a half after that first class, we were ready to move on and pushed from personal circumstances, we started working on the In-Person Sourdough class.

Our First In-Person Workshop 

In our first in-person workshop on the 14th November, in a lovely cookery school located in beautiful surroundings in West Sussex, we met our old and new students. Some were students who participated in our online classes, some we met for the first time.

We prepared dough, we drank teas and coffees, we ate together, we laughed and had tons of fun.

We baked and explored a small part of the sourdough world in great company.

Every class we have had so far gave us the opportunity to meet amazing people and to form new friendships.

We thoroughly believe that bread makes people happy and it is the reason for their time well spent.

Who we are 

Originally from Bulgaria, we have been brought up with bread on our table for breakfast, lunch and dinner. 

Bread has been and still is a huge part of our lives.

Being able to teach others how to make it in their own homes is so rewarding. 

Being able to give and share this life skill drives us forward. 

Seeing our students’ eyes when they have their first sourdough loaf in their hands, tasting this first bite dipped in olive oil or butter spread over it, the smiles and happiness each of them experience, makes us so proud of what we do. 

We really hope coming to bake together we will spark this little light in each of our students and will make them bake at home, eat well and enjoy the whole process.

So here we are, working on more classes, developing fun and easy recipes, we welcome you to our classes and with great joy - make you part of our sourdough adventure.
